I still can’t believe this…

It’s 2018. We live in a world today where human thinking isn’t advancing as quickly as technology.

Over the past few weeks, I have been hearing things which still surprise me and makes me think…are we moving forward at all?

I still can’t believe that people think that marrying a 30 year old woman means she is too set in her ways and not willing to compromise.

I still can’t believe that people think that a wife cannot support a household.

I still can’t believe that we still have professionals today who will not accept a woman manager.

I still can’t believe that we have mothers today who think that if her daughter starts working, her son-in-law will get used to her bringing an income!

I still can’t believe that we have people today who think silence means defeat.

I still can’t believe that that we have people today who think they will give one successful interview and land the job.

I still can’t believe that we have men today who want their wives to seek permission to find work.

I still can’t believe that we have people today who think it’s ok to pry about people’s personal lives asking questions like why do you work? Why don’t you have children?

I still can’t believe that we have a huge population which is not willing to work on making relationships work. Whether it be friends, family or partners.

No matter how much we invest in the quality of life, we cannot change the thinking or perceived notions of the society we live in.

There is a lot I still can’t believe we put up with today!
